Monolayer Tungsten Disulfide (WS2)
Single layer WS2 Powder and Dispersion
Product Detail
CAS No.: 12138-09-9
Tungsten disulfide, also known as WS2, belongs to the transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) family of materials. Like graphene, the 2-D versions of TMDs have properties that are significantly different than their bulk counterparts. Monolayer WS2 is widely studied for its unique properties that set it apart from other 2-D TMDs. Among its many exciting properties, WS2 has a tunable band gap, possesses a high on/off ratio in FETs, and demonstrates controllable spin and valley polarizations, and tunable photoluminescence. As a result, researchers around the world are exploring the use of WS2 in a variety of applications, including areas such as photovoltaics and photodetection, as well as various electronics such as sensors and transistors. In addition, WS2 has a low friction coefficient and exhibits high durability, making it an excellent dry lubricant.
At ACS Material, we manufacture high-quality nano-size monolayer tungsten disulfide and offer it as both a powder and as a dispersion in water or ethanol. It’s ideally suited for transistors, sensors, and other electronic devices. As with all our other advanced materials, you’ll be impressed with the quality and performance provided by monolayer WS2 from ACS Material. Contact us today for more information.
