ACS Materials is pleased to offer high-quality stellate monodisperse mesoporous silica nanospheres (MSNs). Stellate MSNs are a unique form of silica nanospheres created using surfactant template synthesis. Tetraethylorthosilicate and a template made of micellar rods react with one another to create a collection of nanospheres that are filled with pores that are arranged in a regular and predictable pattern. The added silica generates an organic scaffolding that is then removed from the nanospheres via calcination. The resulting mesoporous silica nanoparticles are ideal for medical, thermal energy storage, and imaging applications. MSNs are especially promising as carriers for the cellular transport and delivery of macromolecules.

ACS Materials provides the best materials to engineers and researchers across the globe. We set the standard for quality and purity.
