AAO templates are ideally suited for assistance with the electrodeposition of various nanoparticles such as nanowires, nanodots, and nanotubes, into large-scale uniform arrays onto the surface of a substrate. Our careful oxidation process results in a porous AAO film with parallel pores that are consistently homogenous across the surface of the template. ACS Material offers single-pass AAO templates, double-pass AAO templates, and V-shaped AAO templates.

Hard AAO templates significantly simplify production of nanoparticles for production and study. The ordered porous structure of the AAO creates a nanoparticle structure that’s highly organized and immobile. Metal nanoparticles and their composites have a wide range of applications including transparent electrodes, metamaterials, and biosensors, to name a few.
